  • Design scalable architectures supporting political-to-tactical level simulations
  • Implement middleware solutions for simulation interoperability
  • Lead technical reviews of architecture designs and code implementations
  • Develop APIs for connecting legacy systems (JCTS, JTLS) to new architecture
  • Optimize network performance for distributed simulation environments
  • Design data synchronization mechanisms for distributed databases
  • Create architectural patterns for turn-based and real-time simulation modes
Technical Architecture Focus:
  • Define enterprise-level M&S architecture standards
  • Implement publish-subscribe patterns for distributed event handling
  • Design fault-tolerant systems for mission-critical simulations
  • Develop microservices architecture for modular simulation components
  • Create containerized deployment strategies for cloud and on-premise environments
Minimum Experience Requirements within the last 5-10 years:
  • At least 5 years developing distributed simulation systems using DIS/HLA protocols
  • At least 3 years designing high-level system architectures for military simulation environments
  • Proven experience architecting systems that support real-time interaction between multiple simulation nodes
  • Experience developing APIs and interfaces for simulation interoperability
  • Strong background in performance optimization for large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with both mission-level and campaign-level simulation development
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience Desired:
  • Experience with NATO STANAG standards for simulation
  • Knowledge of military C4ISR systems integration
  • Familiarity with game engines adapted for military simulation
  • Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure)
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
  • PMP or technical architecture certifications

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired:

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
