Job Description:

The ideal candidate will provide on-site technical support to the Air Vehicle Requirements Branch (AVRB), Aviation Combat Element (ACE) Division, Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD) at Marine Corps Base Quantico. This position requires expertise in unmanned logistics platforms including cargo UAS, autonomous delivery systems, and related capabilities. The candidate will support capability development, portfolio management, integration of unmanned logistics systems across the MAGTF, and capability portfolio traceability and defense.

The candidate will support planning and analysis for unmanned logistics platforms including continuous assessment of unmanned logistics capability requirements, gaps, risks, and solutions. You will leverage your aviation logistics experience to provide subject matter expertise in research, analysis, and development of requirements documentation, capability assessments, roadmaps, and other products for AVRB. The position requires familiarity with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and other agile, accelerated, or emergent acquisition approaches.

The candidate performs the following specific assignments:
  • Supports development, integration, and articulation of unmanned logistics capability requirements through Marine Corps force development processes
  • Provides technical expertise for unmanned logistics vehicle portfolio management
  • Utilizes and maintains technical tools such as TFSMS, KM/DS, Catalyst, and other systems to establish and maintain data libraries for unmanned logistics portfolio management
  • Conducts research and analysis to support unmanned logistics capabilities development and program planning
  • Drafts capability documents including Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Concepts of Employment (COE), and requirements memorandums
  • Supports Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning and processes for both Marine Corps and Navy unmanned logistics requirements
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of knowledge management procedures for unmanned logistics portfolio requirements traceability
  • Coordinates with stakeholders across the Naval Aviation Enterprise and other Service-level MAGTF stakeholders
  • Attends and participates in working groups, IPTs, and other meetings to gather information and represent AVRB interests
  • Drafts technical papers, information papers, decision papers, meeting minutes, and other documentation
  • Supports the development of capability roadmaps and DOTMLPF-P assessments for unmanned logistics capabilities.

Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation-related field, engineering, or similar technical discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in military UAS programs or operations
  • Experience with Marine Corps or Navy unmanned aviation platforms and capabilities
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps force development processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint

Experience Desired:
  • Prior military aviation logistics or unmanned systems experience
  • Experience with JCIDS processes and documentation
  • Knowledge of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes
  • Experience with requirements generation and analysis
  • Understanding of the DOTMLPF-P framework
  • Experience with capability gap analysis and solution development
  • Knowledge of acquisition lifecycle management
  • Experience in data management and knowledge management practices
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps distributed logistics concepts
