Job Description: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) has a requirement for technical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, maintenance, documentation, and development and operation of training simulations. SimIS seeks a CIAT Operator to provide operational support for Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense/Anti-Submarine Warfare Trainer systems. This position supports the execution of training scenarios and provides foundational operational expertise for naval combat systems training programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in naval combat systems or related military operations
Basic to intermediate knowledge of AEGIS combat systems operations
Experience with simulation systems and training environments
Preferred: Former Navy with combat systems rating (FC, OS, ST, etc.)
Understanding of naval watch standing procedures and protocols
Knowledge of basic naval doctrine and operational procedures
Travel Required: 25%
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of AEGIS combat systems components and operations
Familiarity with CIAT simulation system operation and basic configuration
Understanding of naval tactics and combat systems procedures
Basic knowledge of tactical data links and communication systems
Ability to follow detailed scenario execution procedures
Key Responsibilities
Execute assigned roles during CIAT training scenarios and exercises
Operate simulation systems in accordance with established procedures
Support scenario setup, execution, and post-event activities
Maintain awareness of system status and report discrepancies
Assist with basic system maintenance and configuration tasks
Participate in scenario development and validation activities
Support data recording and replay operations as required
Maintain proficiency in assigned simulation systems and procedures
Assist senior operators with complex scenario execution
Ensure proper documentation of operational activities and issues
