Job Description: SimIS, Inc seeks a Behavioral Scientist to support a key NATO project within ACT by integrating cognitive effects thinking into product development and execution. Designing, executing and analyzing NATO experiments and exercises. Supporting the development and implementation of the NATO Cognitive Warfare Concept. Engaging the Cognitive Warfare Community of Interest at designated workshops, conferences and other associated forums. ACT is NATO’s leading agent for change: driving, facilitating, and advocating the continuous improvement of Alliance capabilities to maintain and enhance military relevance and effectiveness of the Alliance.
Experience Required:
5-10 years’ experience in the field of applied behavioral science or cognitive effects.
5 years’ experience in applied cognitive effects in the context of organizational transformation.
5 years’ experience analyzing large datasets to understand trends in behavior, sentiment, and cognitive responses.
5 years operational knowledge of analyzing and modeling individuals and target groups responses to various stimuli, including messaging, propaganda, and influence tactics.
Technical understanding of human behavior, cognitive effects, and decision-making processes.
Knowledge of psychological theories related to behavior change, persuasion, and influence.
Understanding of the psychology of persuasion and manipulation, especially in the digital age, where information is rapidly disseminated.
Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field.
Expertise in tools and software for behavioral analysis, psychometrics, and sentiment analysis is desirable.
